My name is Ambrose. I’m almost 4 months old, and I have spent my entire life so far at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for a small omphalocele (repaired), a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (repaired), and a cardiac defect (partially repaired; waiting to get bigger for open heart surgery before final discharge). I have an easygoing and agreeable personality, and I love people. I am hoping that my mom and I can go home to my two big brothers (5yo + 7yo) and our dad in Westfield, IN, soon after my heart surgery this winter, but I’ll need 16​/​7 nursing care, especially overnights. We live in a safe neighborhood in a non-smoking, no-pets home. My dad works full-time from home (with occasional travel), my mom is a SAHM, and I have two involved grandparents who live a few miles away.
